Original Author Hypothesis: “这个词应该从犹太教的阿比而来”。

## Validation

98 tests passed (0 failures); repository validator and full Draft 2020-12 schema passed. HTML5 strict parse, all JavaScript syntax checks and local links passed. Browser regression: 20 Mapper queries plus Search/Dictionary 爸, desktop 1440px and mobile 390px, no browser errors or horizontal overflow. Only ABBEY differs among the 37 dataset records; frozen Mapper/Search/core schema files are byte-preserved. Source references support the historical family and scoped modern/historical dictionary observations; full phonological and controlled kinship research remains pending.

## Heading alignment follow-up

At the author’s request, the ABBEY Mapper/Dictionary heading now uses the established featured candidate pattern: abbey ↔ 爸 bà · 修道院. The immediately following label specifies Root-level phonetic-semantic candidate: ABBA ↔ 爸 (not whole-word equivalence). Standard translation remains Supported; root candidate remains Candidate / Low confidence / Not claimed. This reuses existing typography; the status renderer reads the independent translation status when available. The dedicated historical page retains its explicit ABBEY · 修道院 title.

ABBEY references now display 《異體字字典》：爸 and 《重編國語辭典修訂本》：爹. The 《集韻》 witness is recorded as mediated through 《異體字字典》, not a direct edition collation. ABANDON and bandon ↔ 办 retain their existing sources and grades; 《说文解字》新附 and 汉典 access are distinguished. No sources or entries were added. Stable source IDs, original hypotheses and all evidence/status decisions remain unchanged.

Citation audit validation: 98 existing tests passed; deterministic dataset build, repository and Draft 2020-12 validators, strict HTML5, JavaScript syntax and affected-page links passed. Browser checks covered 3 citation pages, mobile width, 20 Mapper queries and Search/Dictionary. Dataset remains 37 records / 10 Published; source IDs, URLs, counts and all evidence grades are unchanged; frozen Mapper/Search/schema files are preserved.

Citation ordering follow-up: list mainland dictionaries first when Chinese sources are displayed together, using specific book titles. This changes presentation order only. ABBEY and ABANDON currently do not cite 《现代汉语词典》, 《新华字典》, 《汉语大字典》 or 《汉语大词典》 as standalone sources, so none is added for ordering. Existing Zdic access and mediated classical witnesses are not relabeled as mainland dictionary editions. Evidence grades and source counts remain unchanged.
