《说文》所收异体“𢫦”释为“拊也”，从手、百声；《广韵》记普伯切，滂母、入声、陌韵。现代“拍”也用于“拍照”。
怕 pà
CUHK：从心、白声；早期有淡泊／无为义。《广韵》并列普駕切（滂母、去声、禡韵）与普伯切（滂母、入声、陌韵）。畏惧义见《玉篇》。CUHK 保留两说：畏惧义与淡泊义属同形字，或畏惧用法与“怖”的口语音有关；不将两义直接串成已确立派生。
